Professional Experience

I joined the WINK News team in July 2020 and I previously served as the Weekend Meteorologist at WTVM in Columbus, GA.

News Philosophy

To be the calm voice during active weather, especially a hurricane threat.

Hobbies, Interest & Community Involvement

One of my favorite hobbies is health and fitness. I really enjoy working out and exercising, and the weather here makes for great running & biking. I also love football, especially my New Orleans Saints.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Science, Mississippi State University.

Memorable Assignments

In 2017, I intercepted Hurricane Irma in a parking garage on 5th Avenue in Naples. I covered the storm from start to finish, taking wind & pressure measurements, along with posting pictures and videos to social media which ended up on The Weather Channel, Fox News, and ESPN.

Interesting Fact

I chase hurricanes. Between growing up in New Orleans, and the hurricanes I have intercepted on my own, I've been in 14 total hurricanes. The most notable storms I've experienced are Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Ida. Experiencing all of these hurricanes first-hand has made me a better meteorologist, and gives me the experience and expertise to guide Southwest Florida through the next major hurricane threat.
