Isolated storms on Monday, with highs in the upper 80s

Highs will reach the upper 80s under partly cloudy skies. High humidity will make high temperatures feel like the 90s, regardless. Boaters will be met with pleasant conditions on the water, given they can dodge Monday’s storm chances. A light chop and 1- to 2-foot wave heights are expected on the water.

Monday will bring scattered rain chances to Southwest Florida. Showers and storms will form off the shore and push inland Monday morning and afternoon. This will result in slightly earlier rain chances than we have seen previously. Still, thunderstorm chances will primarily form inland. Severe weather is not expected. Our strongest storms will be capable of frequent lightning, isolated flooding and gusty winds.

Highs will eventually drop into the 70s by the end of the week. This change is thanks to a cold front that will dry us out and take away our rain chances by Thursday.

The Atlantic remains free of any named storms or disturbances at the moment. Additionally, no new named storms are expected to form in the Atlantic Basin, Gulf of Mexico, or the Caribbean Sea within the next five days.
