Cell tower fire in Iona. (CREDIT: IONA MCGREGOR FIRE DISTRICT) The Iona McGregor Fire District extinguished a fire at a cell tower off of Gladiolus Drive. According to the Iona McGregor Fire District, their Fire Marshal is on the scene and determined the cause of the fire is electrical. The South Trail Fire Protection & Rescue Service District, Fort Myers Beach Fire District, Lee County Public Safety, and Lee Count Sheriff’s Office crews are on scene.
