The country star Dierks Bentley played there Thursday night and not everyone knew that cash is no longer welcomed. “25 years I’ve been watching concerts here and now it’s changing,” one attendee said. Change is hard but some country music fans said these guys not having to give out change is for the better. “All we did was hand them a credit card they handed it right back it was probably even quicker because they weren’t trying to get your change or anything it will make it go so much quicker,” an attendee told WINK News. Cashless parking began Thursday and just like most things while some are OK with it, others aren’t as fond of the new arrangement. Some believe it’s just one step in the direction of Hertz Arena going cashless inside the building. “100 percent, absolutely. Within a 12-month window it will be cashless,” another concert attendee said. All in all, the cashless system didn’t have too many hang-ups other than card readers malfunctioning a little. If you’re heading to Hertz anytime soon, be sure to have your card ready in order to park.
