Small fire prompted evacuation of HealthPark Medical Center ER and lobby

Part of the ER and lobby were evacuated at HealthPark Medical Center Monday afternoon due to a small fire.

According to Lee Health, “There was a small fire adjacent to the lab at HealthPark Medical Center that was caused by construction on the roof.”

The fire has since been extinguished and normal operations have resumed.

There were no reported injuries.
