A man was shot twice in a road rage shooting Tuesday night in Southwest Florida.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call alerted deputies of a shooting at the intersection of Livingston Road and Radio Road shortly after 9:30 p.m.

The victim was shot twice, in the arm and in the abdomen, and transported to NCH. He was later transported from NCH to Gulf Coast Medical Center due to his condition.

The sheriff’s office says the man who was shot described the shooter as a black male with dreads, possibly driving a dark-colored Chevy Camaro.

According to deputies, the victim said he was being followed beginning at Pine Ridge Road, and when he arrived at the intersection where he was shot, he got out of his car and confronted the driver that was following him immediately before being shot.

Witnesses told deputies that they believed the car was a Dodge of some kind.

The suspect fled the scene, and no arrests have been made.
