LCSO narcotics team detain four people at Pine Manor scene

A large number of Lee County Sheriff’s deputies were investigating a scene in Pine Manor where at least four people were detained Thursday night.

Nearly a dozen sheriff’s office vehicles were seen lining the streets at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Palm Drive. At least one deputy was parked in the driveway of a nearby home.

Neighbors said they didn’t know why they saw people appearing to be detained with their hands behind their back in zip-ties.

WINK News saw four people with their hands behind their back. Some were seen with their hands zip-tied while being taken into LCSO cars at the scene.

Investigators were seen going through a blue car parked out front of the home.

It remains unclear what exactly happened at Pine Manor on Thursday.

“They doing their job but they also not doing their job by not saying anything to the community,” Jasmine Hunter Boston said. “Is we safe? Are the kids safe really? Because that’s what’s concerned about is the kids safe.” Boston is one of the neighbors that saw the investigation unfold for a long time.
