Last day of drier conditions before wet weather returns Friday

Thursday will bring a similar weather pattern to what we’ve dealt with for the past few days: warm, mainly dry, with chances for storms focused inland.

Look for highs running three to six degrees above average, with temperatures set to warm into the low, middle, to even upper 90s Thursday afternoon, with the warmest temperatures expected inland.

Humidity will be on the rise as a surge of moisture moves in from the south. This will also promote higher chances for rain beginning Friday, which will persist into the weekend.

In fact, on Friday, there is a marginal risk for localized flooding with the potential for excessive rainfall.

After Friday, the next several days will feature a pattern that will feel more like rain season, with a daily chance for scattered storms into the weekend and most of next week.
