Starting Saturday, private health insurers will be required to cover up to eight home COVID-19 tests per month for those on their plans, the Biden administration announced Monday, as it looks to lower costs and make testing for the virus more convenient amid rising frustrations. You can now go online and order more free at-home COVID-19 tests. The tests are part of a Biden administration program to make COVID-19 testing more accessible for everyone.

The program now allows for each household to order three at-home test kits, giving them a total of 16 free COVID-19 tests.

The program began in January, with the second round of free tests being allowed in March. Now, you can order even more at no cost to you.

There are also no special requirements for you to get the free at-home tests, every household is eligible.

If you would like to order them you can do so by visiting COVID.gov and clicking on ‘order free tests.’
