COLLIER COUNTY
A 65-year-old Naples woman was injured Saturday morning as she rode her bike near the Naples airport in Collier County.
The crash happened on Airport Road near Exchange Avenue at 6 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a sedan driven by a 40-year-old Naples woman failed to stop in time and struck the rear of the cyclist.
The cyclist was transported to Naples Community Hospital in critical condition, FHP said. She wasn’t wearing her helmet.
