A 59-year-old man has been arrested by Collier deputies after they say they found drugs during a traffic stop.

Edward Joseph Horn, a convicted felon, faces charges of fentanyl trafficking, possession of marijuana over 20 grams and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

Horn, of Golden Gate, was a passenger in a silver Honda that was pulled over by deputies for a traffic infraction at Santa Barbara and Prince Andrew boulevards at around 1:30 a.m., the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

Horn attempted to hide a large bag of marijuana under the driver’s seat, deputies said. It weighed about 28.69 pounds.

Deputies also said he was carrying about 9.69 grams of fentanyl in his pockets, enough to kill 4,845 people.
