Fort Myers police badge Fort Myers police are investigating a suspicious death after a welfare check. The department said on Tuesday they were asked to do a welfare check at the home of 55-year-old Anthony Neil Reece. Coworkers became concerned after Reece didn’t show up 2 days in a row for work. And that it was out of character for him not to show up, police said. Police checked on Reece at his home in the 2900 block of Winkler Avenue, the Village Creek apartments, but found him dead. His death was ruled suspicious. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
