When Deanna Casalino needs a haircut, color or style change, she trusts the students at Paul Mitchell the School Fort Myers to get it all straightened out.

“They take their time from beginning to end so when you sit down right off the bat you know you’re going to get a good service,” Casalino said.

Students like Jazmine Hunter get the hands-on experience they need in order to snip their way into a professional salon.

“They’re making sure the students are getting not only the knowledge that they need but the assistance and the guidance,” Hunter said.

And customers save big.

Cuts and dye jobs cost hundreds of dollars at a regular salon, but a blowdry and style at Paul Mitchell starts at only $19.

“They are all overseen by a professional so probably the price point at first but we have a great environment here so we welcome everybody,” said Stephanie Libel, education leader at the school.

And on the other side of the room, the barber school is buzzing.

“It’s giving back. It’s giving back to our community and giving back to our future professionals,” said Tina Black, owner of the Paul Mitchell the School Fort Myers.

Cosmetology schools are a good option to save money as inflation and the cost of goods continue to rise.
