The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an overnight disturbance near a Circle K on San Carlos Boulevard. The incident at the gas station at 17170 San Carlos Boulevard is being described by the sheriff’s office as a shooting, according to their incident page. However, the agency is now calling it a disturbance. The incident occurred just before 3 a.m. LCSO said they responded to a “disturbance,” adding that detectives are working to find one of the subjects involved. “It remains active,” LCSO said. The gas station was blocked off with crime scene tape for hours as detectives investigated. A worker said they were looking at the surveillance video. The gas station is now back open to the public. No other information is known at this time.
