People got the chance to meet and speak with several acclaimed authors ahead of Saturday’s Southwest Florida Reading Festival.

WINK News anchor Amanda Hall emceed the event known as ‘An Evening With The Authors’. It features authors like Kate Quinn, who is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.

Avid readers, like Carol Rogen, say it’s one of the highlights of their year. “The reading festival has been going on for 23 years, and I’ve come to at least 18 of them,” said Rogen.

All of the proceeds are going toward the festival. The festival kicks off at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Fort Myers Regional Library campus in downtown Fort Myers.
