A Lee County man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for possession of child pornography.

46-year-old Marshall Allen Faulkner has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, followed by 25 years of sex offender probation, as well as being designated a sexual offender after being found guilty for 20 counts of possession of child pornography.

Faulkner was arrested in 2020 after Cape Coral police learned about the possibility of Faulkner having child pornography at his Matlacha home.

The ensuing investigation by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office resulted in a warrant to search Faulkner’s home. During the search, deputies recovered a computer, thumb drive and SD card that deputies say contained numerous graphic sexual images of young children.

As part of his sentence, Faulkner must also pay more than $3,000 in fines to the Rape Crisis Fund and more than $3,000 in fines to Crimes Against Minors, plus additional court costs.
