An 18-year-old is now behind bars after firing at a Jeep in Immokalee. The shots rang out on a road as a school bus passed.

The car that was apparently involved circled back while WINK News was there. When WINK News reporter Lauren Leslie went to see a man who supposedly had surveillance video of the shooting, a black Dodge Charger speeding down the street, revving its engine.

Leslie initially just thought, “Who does that?” until the man responded, “that’s the car involved in this drive-by shooting.”

18-year-old Mchebel Seme, who the Collier County Sheriff’s Office says is a known gang member, took aim at a jeep with five people inside this past week.

Multiple rounds were fired during this drive-by shooting on Wednesday. This was in a residential area in Immokalee, near the intersection of Eden Avenue and Apple Street.

A report by the sheriff’s office documents the frightening moments when Seme took a long rifle from inside the charger, pointed it at the Jeep, and opened fire.

The woman behind the wheel of the Jeep told investigators that she knew the shooter and “feared for her life.”

At least one round hit the Jeep, just below a window in the back of the car, where three passengers were riding in the backseat.

No one was injured in this shooting.

Seme is now facing two felony charges and is being held without bond in the Collier County Jail. As for who was driving that car, we still do not know.
