A Miami man was arrested by Collier County deputies after they say he returned to the scene of the crime.

Leroy Minnis, 33, is accused of stealing nearly $1,000 worth of designer fragrances from Ulta on the East Trail last week.

An employee called authorities after recognizing Minnis.

He returned to the store on Wednesday and was quickly taken into custody, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

Employees told detectives they recognized Minnis as the same person who shoplifted about $944 worth of designer fragrances.

Minnis gave detectives a fake name and refused to answer questions.

Investigators found he used a fake credit card on Wednesday to purchase designer fragrances and a designer handbag totalling more than $2,430.

He faces two counts of grand theft, obstruction and knowingly giving false information to law enforcement.
