The 12th annual Charlotte Harbor Regatta is right around the corner. The event is returning after being canceled last year due to the pandemic.

This year’s event is scheduled for Feb. 4-6 and will launch from the Port Charlotte Beach Park.

So far, 45 boats have registered for the event across eight different classes. The classes invited to the event are Hobie Wave, Hobie 16, Weta Trimaran, F18, A Class cat, Harbor 20, 2.4mR, and Windmill. Other classes will be considered by request.

Charlotte Harbor Regatta Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote sailing on Charlotte Harbor.

A portion of the proceeds from the regatta events is donated to youth and adult sailing organizations. To date, the Charlotte Harbor Regatta Inc. says it has donated more than $76,000 to support sailing camps, the building of floating docks, purchase boats and rigging, and sponsor youth regattas.

You can find the Notice of Race, an online registration form, and more information about this year’s event by visiting CharlotteHarborRegatta.com or clicking here.
