Another cold start Wednesday, but a warmer afternoon

We’re waking up to another cold start on Wednesday. Look for widespread 40s across the area near sunrise once again, with several areas running even cooler than Tuesday morning.

Despite the cold start, temperatures will run about 6-8 degrees warmer by Wednesday afternoon. Highs will be back to near average with temperatures set to warm into the mid-70s under a mostly sunny sky.

Thursday morning won’t be as chilly, with more areas in the 50s to start the day. We’ll stay quiet Thursday with highs touching near 80 for some areas.

By Friday, the weather pattern begins to change. A cold front will approach the area and bring the return of spotty afternoon showers. We’ll also have to watch for the potential of some storms.

In fact, the Storm Prediction Center already has a Level 1 out of 5 risk for severe.

This is something we’ll be watching closely as we head towards Friday. Stay tuned!
