Budweiser Clydesdales to return to Southwest Florida

The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales are trotting back to Southwest Florida and will be making six stops in the area over the next two weeks.

The Clydesdales’ appearances in Southwest Florida are one of the hundreds by the traveling hitches, according to a news release.

Horses chosen for the Budweiser Clydesdales hitch must be at least three years of age, stand approximately 6-feet at the shoulder and weigh an average of 2,000 pounds.

They must also be bay in color, have four white legs and a blaze of white on the face and black mane and tail.

They must also have a gentle temperament because they meet millions of people each year.

Where to meet the Clydesdales:

  • Thursday, Dec. 9, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Mercato, at 9118 Strada Pl. in North Naples
  • Saturday, Dec. 11, the horses will participate in the Immokalee Christmas Around the World Parade, at the Immokalee Sports Complex, at 505 Escambia Street, in Immokalee.
  • Sunday, Dec. 12, from 3 p.m.to 6 p.m., at the Bayfront Shops of Naples, at 465 Bayfront Pl. in Naples.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 14, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Club Square, located south of SE 46th Lane, north of SE 47th Terrace and intersected by SE 10th Place, in Cape Coral.
  • Thursday, Dec. 16, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., in downtown Punta Gorda.
  • Friday, Dec. 17, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Shell Factory, at 2787 N. Tamiami Trail in North Fort Myers.
  • Saturday, Dec. 18, from 5 p.m. to  7:30 p.m., at the Miromar Outlets, 10801 Corkscrew Rd. in Estero.
