Concerns are being raised about where a teacher got child porn. A judge says the videos found on Jason Siciliano’s devices of children as young as four are uploads, not downloads.

WINK News spoke to Marie D’Annunzio, a mom with a child who had a class with Siciliano. She had a question she felt she had to ask her son because Siciliano was his science teacher at Pine Ridge Middle School, “did he ever do anything or touch you?”

Tuesday was an anxious day for D’Annunzio, waiting for her 11-year-old to come home. Hours earlier, she got a call from the school telling her about Siciliano’s arrest. The Collier County School District fired Siciliano immediately after he was arrested.

“I was shocked and very nervous and couldn’t wait for him to get off the bus and walk through the door and ask him some questions,” said D’Annunzio.

When Siciliano went before the judge on Wednesday, he said nothing. His lawyer asked for reasonable bail. “Mr. Siciliano has no criminal history. He resides in Collier County and appears to have cooperated with law enforcement.”

The judge set bail at $154,000.

D’Annunzio said she is upset with the school district for allowing Siciliano to be a teacher, “you do not put this kind of person in the school system. I am sorry, it’s really not acceptable.”

D’Annunzio’s son said nothing happened with his teacher, but that did little to calm her nerves.

Collier County schools said in a statement that Siciliano does not reflect their 7,000 talented, dedicated and hardworking employees.
