The City of Fort Myers is beginning the process of redistricting the city’s six wards in a more equitable and representative way.

The city says the redistricting process is being propelled by a 38% increase in population from 2010-2020.

A series of in-person and virtual meetings will be held between Dec. 2 and Dec. 17.

In February 2022, the city council will review all of the redistricting submissions and vote on which one they will establish as the new city ward boundaries. There are currently five map options that can be found by clicking here.

You can also submit your own proposal for consideration by emailing it to redistricting@cityftmyers.com by Dec. 31.

You can find information on the in-person and virtual public redistricting meeting times and locations below.
