Green Monday, the second busiest online holiday shopping day, is less than two weeks away.

Ads for Green Monday, Dec. 13, will start appearing soon.

You’ll save but experts say getting the gift on time is not guaranteed.

Traditionally, it’s the last day you can make your list, check it twice and get your gifts on time.

But Deal News doesn’t think that will be the case this year.

“We’re already seeing shipping delays; those are only expected to get worse,” said Julie Ramhold, a consumer analyst with DealsNews.com.

Ramhold said the deals will be there but your gifts might not make it to your doorstep until after Christmas Day.

“That means that waiting until December 13, which is going Monday, or waiting even longer, is really going to be pushing it on getting your items in time for the holidays,” Ramhold said.

She said retailers may try to reel you in with discounted expedited shipping but that still may not help you.

“It’s kind of just in the carrier’s hands and we’re all at their mercy. So it sort of remains to be seen if even bothering to pay for expedited shipping will matter this year,” Ramhold said.

Ramhold’s advice is don’t wait until Green Monday if you want to have the gift under the tree on Christmas.

If you still have shopping to do on Dec. 13, it’s best to go in person.
