Spam text advertising unauthorized Cape Coral Fire Department T-shirts

The Cape Coral Fire Department posted on Facebook that it is not selling T-shirts and to ignore spam texts claiming to be selling tees from CCFD.

“If we were, you can be assured we would not send a text soliciting you to purchase one,” CCFD wrote in its post.

If you receive this text message, CCFD urges people not to click on the included link, which may possibly lead to spam websites with material harmful to one’s computer or device, and to instead block the sender and report it as spam to one’s carrier.
