Investigators spent hours raiding a massage parlor in south Fort Myers before then showing up at a Cape Coral home.

Lee County Sheriff’s deputies told WINK News they were at the home along SW 21st Avenue, just south of Veterans Parkway, to execute a search warrant. Investigators took plenty of pictures and left the scene with even more evidence. While WINK cannot confirm if the locations are connected, it was noticed that the same team of investigators were at the Natural Oil Spa earlier in the day.

Lee County deputies also took bags of evidence from the massage parlor.

“It’s definitely sketchy,” said Leah, works in the Key West Plaza along McGregor Boulevard. “Today, the narcotics team was kind of hanging out while they were doing the investigation. I don’t know… there were, like, maybe 15 men here.”

The investigators took baggies of what looked like paperwork, computer hardware and other evidence. A witness said investigators watched the parlor for a week.

“People would show up, see the cops, and then leave, and they wouldn’t go in,” Leah said.

Rich Kolko, WINK News safety and security specialist, says this is all part of a more extensive investigation.

“A lot of times, criminal activity just piles on if they’re running an illicit massage parlor,” Kolko said.

WINK News did speak to the attorney of the owner of that Cape Coral home, who said they are still piecing things together. While he said they don’t have much to discuss at the moment, he did say he’d be happy to give a statement later on.
