Warmer weather returns this afternoon as a few locations will reach the 90s. Partly cloudy skies will make way for a few spotty showers after lunchtime. Unlike Monday, the majority of Southwest Florida will remain dry through Wednesday morning. The strongest cold front we have seen in fall will push through Southwest Florida on Thursday. This will usher in widespread rain chances and drop our highs into the upper 70s and low 80s. Additionally, the front will bring windy conditions that may make conditions on the water very choppy. After Thursday’s front moves through, expect that drier air and cooler temperatures to continue through Halloween weekend. In the Atlantic, we are only tracking one disturbance with a medium chance of formation. This will likely continue to move into the mid-Atlantic and pose no threat to Southwest Florida. The next name on our 2021 Storm Naming List is Wanda.
