Deputies are searching for a man they say tampered with railroad track safety equipment in North Fort Myers.

The track is the Seminole Gulf Railway at 8100 Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers. The incident happened on Tuesday, Oct. 12, according to SWFL Crime Stoppers.

The suspect’s truck appears to be an older model Ford Ranger type truck with a step side over rear wheels and an American flag license plate mounted to the front of the truck.

Anyone with information on this incident, the driver or the suspect vehicle is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000. Tips may also be made online at southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or on the P3Tips mobile app.
