EARLIER The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 78-year-old woman who left her home on Thursday and hasn’t been seen since. The sheriff’s office said Geraldine Watson left her Malay Terrace home on foot on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and has not returned. Deputies are searching for Watson utilizing the Peace River K9 Search and Rescue Association Inc., CCSO air units and deputies on foot. Deputies described it as “out of ordinary” for Watson who has Alzheimer’s and does not have any mode of transportation. She was last seen wearing a polka dot shirt and brown pants. If she is located, please contact law enforcement, the sheriff’s office said.
