Detectives need help identifying a suspect caught on camera in a Verizon store where they say he stole a tablet.

At around 2 p.m. on Sept. 3, the suspect, described by detectives as a Hispanic man around 5’6 in a red hoodie, walked into the Verizon store located at 9002 Rolfes Road.

At around 2:15 p.m., they say he forcefully removed a silver Apple iPad Pro 11 from the display stand, damaging the charging cord and eventually running out of the store with the stolen item. The subject may have left in a Kia Optima, possibly with an unknown white man.

The total business loss amounts to $999.99. The store manager also confirmed that an unidentified man matching the same description entered a different Verizon store.

If anyone has information on the possible identity of the suspect, you can contact Det. Carlos Ramos at (239) 321-7698, email at cramos@fmpolice.com or contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.
