Glenn Aiken sentenced to 1 year in jail for bank robbery

The father of a girl who died in a hit-and-run crash in 2019 has pleaded guilty to bank robbery. On Monday, Glenn Aiken was sentenced to one year in jail and four years probation. That includes two days of time served.

According to a spokeswoman for the 20th Judicial Circuit, Glenn Aiken plead guilty on Wednesday for a 2020 bank robbery at MidWestOne Bank at 8690 Gladiolus Drive in south Fort Myers.

His daughter 8-year-old Layla Aiken was killed in March of 2019 while she waited for her school bus with her brothers in Cape Coral.
