Teen, woman suffer serious injuries in crash in Collier County

A teen and a woman were injured in a vehicle crash on Friday morning in Collier County.

According to troopers, a 17-year-old girl was traveling west on Golden Gate Parkway, approaching 60th Street SW, when she lost control of her sedan and crossed the median and entered the eastbound lanes.

The teen struck an SUV driven by a 38-year-old Naples woman, who suffered serious injuries in the crash. The teen, also of Naples, also suffered serious injuries.

Both were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers.

No other information is known at this time.
