Police respond to suicide at Cape Coral Hospital, staff, patients safe

Cape Coral Police Department responded to the report of an apparent suicide at Cape Coral Hospital Thursday night.

A staff member said there had been an announcement someone with a gun entered the hospital.

Lee Health confirmed no staff members or patients were hurt, and the hospital scene was secured.

There is no further information at this time.
