A man is being looked for as a person of interest related to a Lehigh Acres car burglary which occurred on Aug. 2.

A woman left her locked car in the parking lot of Max’d Out Fitness at 3114 Lee Blvd. while she worked out for around an hour. At around 2 p.m., she came out to find the front driver’s side window smashed out, with her wallet, cash and several credit cards stolen. While she was reporting the incident to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, she was contacted by one of her credit card companies and told that one of those cards had been used within the last hour.

This purchase had been made at the Handy Food Store across the street at 3121 Lee Blvd. The subject was last seen driving a 2006-2010 maroon Ford Explorer with a U-Haul trailer attached. If you know the identity of the man or vehicle, you can call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477, visit the website or download the “P3 Tips” mobile app.
