A man previously convicted of a felony has been arrested for firearm possession in Lehigh Acres Sunday.

Lee County Sheriff’s deputies went to the area of Sunshine Boulevard North, responding to a report of gunshots by the canal bank. When they arrived, deputies found Carlos Odriozola, 30, with a gray backpack. He hid in the bushes at the sight of the deputies, before reemerging later to speak with them.

After searching Odriozola, deputies found two firearms in his possession, a Glock .40 and a Ruger .380 handgun. They arrested Odriozola and brought him to the Lee County Jail, and he now faces a charge of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
