Monday, Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery with injuries at a home in Lehigh Acres.

According to the deputy report, the victim was at home in his bedroom when three male suspects entered his room and demanded to know where the money was, and proceeded to ransack the room.

All three suspects held the victim at gunpoint — two with pistols and the third with an AR-15 style rifle. The suspect with the rifle hit the victim on the back and the head, causing him to lose consciousness briefly.

The victim woke up tied to his bed, and his face was covered with a bedsheet. He no longer sensed the robbers in the home and was able to free himself from the restraints.

The victim searched his home inside and outside and found no sign of the suspects. He said he was unaware how they got into and out of the home.

The victim left the home and went to someone else’s house to call 911, since the suspects took his phone.

The victim told deputies had had a certain amount of money in his home, which is likely what the suspects were after.

Emergency medical services showed up to the victim’s home for treatment, but he chose to be taken by someone he knew to the hospital to treat injuries instead.

LCSO did not detail how much money if any was stolen from the home.

There have been no arrests made in the investigation, which remains ongoing. There are no further details about possible suspects or the investigation at this time.
