According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV driven by an 19-year-old man from North Fort Myers was traveling north on Nalle Road just before 1 a.m. The pedestrian, a man from Cape Coral, was in the northbound lane of Nalle Road, ahead of the SUV. The front right of the SUV collided with the man, leaving him in the northbound lane. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Florida Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of those involved in crashes, citing Marsy’s Law.
