According to the Florida highway Patrol, a car driven by a 75-year-old woman from Moorehaven was traveling east on SR-80 around 8:30 p.m. The woman lost control of the car and traveled off the roadway to the right, entering the grass shoulder where it collided with a speed limit sign and trees. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
