Man arrested for stabbing on Lora Street in Fort Myers

Fort Myers police are investigating a stabbing on Lora Street that sent one person to the hospital.

A police sergeant called it a “very isolated crime” and said one person was taken to the hospital for treatment. Another person was being detained.

Juan Antonio Rodriguez, 31, faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and armed burglary.

The sergeant said the public is not in danger and called it “an ongoing investigation.”

Rodriguez’s bail was set at $100,000 and he was ordered to surrender weapons and to have no contact with the victim.

The next court date is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 30.
