Arcadia woman faces murder charge for man’s overdose death

An Arcadia woman was jailed Thursday and faces a murder charge stemming from a man’s overdose death earlier this year.

Arcadia police did not release any further information on the arrest of Cassidy Wright, 24, but said she is responsible for the death of a man who overdosed at the Economy Inn in Arcadia on Feb. 3.

She is being held in the DeSoto County Jail on $100,000 bond.
