Rain chances decrease into the weekend

Good Thursday morning, Southwest Florida!

Highs return to the 90s today for the majority of our viewing area under increasingly cloudy skies.

Make sure you stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if you are spending long periods outside today. Our “feels like” temperatures will feel like the triple-digits once again.

Isolated showers and storms will form along our coastal zones this morning. As the day goes on, these will become more scattered.

Expect rain chances to slightly decrease to start the weekend.

Boating conditions will be exceptional today. If you can dodge this afternoon’s storms, you will be met with a light chop and low wave heights on the water today.

Thankfully, tropical activity continues to remain quiet in the Atlantic. At this time, we are not expecting any cyclone development within the next five days.
