Happy Hump Day, Southwest Florida!

Today’s forecast will be very similar to yesterday’s. Expect a high temperature of 92 degrees in Fort Myers with winds out of the Northwest at 5-10 miles per hour.

Humidity will be a factor in how warm it will feel outside. This afternoon’s heat index values will climb into the triple-digits across our entire viewing area.

Isolated rain showers are possible this morning. These rain chances will ramp up in the  afternoon and increase into the evening. The majority of these storms will fall apart around dinner time.

Rain chances will slightly drop into Friday and Saturday. Regardless, it will be smart to have an umbrella on standby for the remainder of the week and weekend.

Boaters will be pleased with today’s forecast. Apart from any storms, only light chop and 1-2 foot wave heights are in the forecast.

Thankfully, things are currently staying quiet in the tropics. NO new developments are in the forecast through the weekend.
