Warmer weather to round out the week

Happy Tuesday, Southwest Florida!

Highs return to the 90s today.  Light winds will be out of the southwest with cloud coverage increasing as the day goes on.

This will be the start of a small warm-up that ends with us reaching 94 degrees on Friday.

Today will also feel very humid. As a result, our “feels like” temperatures will return to the triple-digits across our entire viewing area.

Scattered storm chances will also return for everyone today. After a few stray showers this morning, expect increased rain chances beginning this afternoon.

Expect our scattered rain chances to continue into the weekend. Apart from today’s scattered thunderstorms, boaters will be met with fantastic conditions today.

We are continuing to track a weak disturbance along the Georgia coastline. This disturbance looks significantly less organized than it did yesterday. For that reason, the National Hurricane Center is only giving it a low (10%) chance of development.

We are not tracking any other areas of concern across the Atlantic Basin at this time.

Our next named storm on the 2021 naming list would be Fred.
