Rain chances rise today and continue into next week

Good morning, Southwest Florida! We’ve made it to the weekend.

Highs return to the 90s today. Thankfully, we will be slightly cooler than we were yesterday.

Triple-digit “feels like” temperatures will return this afternoon.

Scattered rain chances will begin this evening and stick around into the night. A comparable amount of rain can be expected on Sunday and into next week.

Boating conditions will be fantastic (If you can dodge today’s showers).

We are still tracking a disturbance in the Atlantic. This has a medium 50% chance of development over the next two days. Even if it spins up, it would only have minor impacts on the weather of Southwest Florida.

Otherwise, there are no additional disturbances in the Atlantic.

The next name on our 2021 storm naming list would be Fred.
