Man arrested in Lee County on Texas murder charge

A man wanted in Texas in connection with murder was arrested Wednesday in Lee County.

The Dallas Police Department said Juan Antonio Bravo, 28, is accused of killing Jorge Armando Saenz on June 19, 2020.

DPD said Saenz was shot after he intervened when a man struck a woman during a disturbance outside a restaurant.

After being shot, Saenz ran for a short distance and collapsed. Dallas Fire Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene.

Bravo is being held without bond at the Lee County Jail on out-of-state fugitive warrants.
