3rd suspect arrested in DeSoto County shooting that injured 3

DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office says Thursday it’s arrested a third suspect in a recent shooting that injured three people.

According to the DCSO post, a 14-year-old was arrested and is accused as a secondary shooter during a July 19 shooting in the area of SW Hillsborough Avenue. The three victims were in a car when suspects are accused of shooting them.

The suspect faces charges for four counts of attempted murder and was later taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Manatee County.

A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were previously arrested in connection to the shooting.

The health status of the victims is unknown at this time.

WINK News will not name the new suspect or share any images if they are released due to their age.
