Fort Myers man arrested on fentanyl trafficking charges

A Fort Myers man has been arrested after deputies say they found him with a kilo of fentanyl in his car.

Lee County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Timothy Williams, 45, after pulling him over and finding the drugs in his car. After then searching Williams’ property, they located an additional kilo of fentanyl and 235 grams of methamphetamine.

Williams faces two counts of trafficking in fentanyl and one count of trafficking in methamphetamine. He was transported to Lee County Jail.
