Disney World offers cheaper tickets for Florida residents

The happiest place on Earth might feel a little happier if you can save money when you visit.

Disney World is offering tickets for just $54 a day to Floridians. The catch: you have to buy a four-day ticket for $215* ($860 for a family of four), and the tickets are only good for one park a day, but you can upgrade to the Park Hopper option for $35 more per ticket, which comes out to $250 per ticket – or $1,000 for a family of four.

If you don’t want to spring for the four-day ticket option but still want to save, Disney World is offering smaller ticket packages, but you’ll pay a bit more. A two-day ticket package is $75 per day for two days ($150 total), or $62 per day for three days ($185). You can also add on the Park Hopper option to those tickets.

Reservations are still needed to visit the Disney World parks.

The tickets must be used by Sept. 17, and you can use them on consecutive days or spread out your visits.

For more information or to purchase tickets, go to the Walt Disney World website.

*Tax not included.
