Spotty showers and storms are expected to linger late this afternoon and into the early evening. One or two strong storms cannot be ruled out, but the threat diminishes as we get closer to sunset. Expect another round of showers and storms on Tuesday. A few could pop up in the morning, especially inland, but the majority occur later in the day. Highs will soar into the upper 80s and lower 90s once again. When you factor in the humidity, it’ll fall closer to 100°. Heat indices will depend on who gets rain. In the tropics, we have some good news to report! Nothing is expected to develop over the next five days. Long-term forecast models suggest this could continue even longer, largely due to Saharan dust. If this changes, the Weather Authority will be the first to let you know!
