Elsa: Collier County updates

COLLIER COUNTY

All jury courts in Southwest Florida are closed Tuesday in response to Tropical Storm Elsa.

Collier County Public Schools are closed Tuesday and will resume normal operations on Wednesday:

  • There will be no school for summer school students;
  • All summer programs held at CCPS sites will be closed;
  • All CCPS curbside and mobile meal distribution sites will be closed;
  • All extracurricular activities, including athletic practices, will be canceled;
  • All Adult and Community Education classes will be canceled;
  • All District leases will be suspended;
  • District sites will remain open.

 

Collier Area Transit Services were suspended at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. For safety reasons, if at any time winds are at a constant 35 mph or more, all services must be suspended. Some routes may be shut down sooner if flooding occurs. Transit is expected to resume Wednesday morning at normal times.

NAPLES
